How long I’ve been a therapy animal: 1 1/2 years (Since October 2015)
One time we saw a man sitting in a wheelchair in the hallway and he looked like he didn't even know what was going on around him. He seemed like he couldn't even communicate with anyone. Mama lifted me up so he could see me and the man lit up and just laughed and laughed. I love to make people laugh and smile.
My favorite thing to do is to make people smile and laugh. I know lots of tricks and love to perform. Mama says I'm a ham! When people laugh, clap or cheer for my tricks, I get a big grin on my face. When I was 3 months old, somebody dropped me off at the shelter with all my brothers and sisters. Then my mama and her friend came and found me. She picked me up, and I cried every time she put me down. That was when I had them wrapped around my little paw. Mama knew almost as soon as she brought me home that I was born to be a therapy dog, so I started training and now I have been doing therapy work since I was 7 months old. Just recently, I got a little brother. I'm not thrilled about having to share the spotlight, but the little guy just adores me - hard not to like someone when they like you that much. I guess I'll let them keep him around for the long haul.
