Favorite Toy: Tootsie loves her rabbit, froggie, alligator, and gingerbread man. Her toy box is huge and filled to the rim with toys.
Favorite Costume: Pearl necklace that she wears daily. A pink tutu and boa for special occasions.
Best Trick: Shake gently with each paw, down-stay with treat, and her latest trick of an "energetic" high five.
It is so hard to pinpoint a favorite visit as each one is complete unique. One visit that stands out is while volunteering at a senior facility, an elderly woman waiting for us brought us back to her room to show us her personal journal with all of Tootsie's "calling cards" taped to several pages with handwritten notes about all the Faithful Paws therapy dogs who come to visit her each month. I was so touched she took the time to write about how much she loved the monthly visits from our therapy pets!
I was born in New Mexico on October 21, 2014 and moved to Houston when I was 8 weeks old. I have earned two distinguished titles of AKC Canine Good Citizen and AKC Therapy Dog. Besides being a therapy dog, I enjoy meeting new people, fetching my ball, playing with all my toys, and snuggling under my favorite blanket.
