In October 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer at Houston Methodist West. As I prepared for surgery, my 97-year-old mother passed away just before Thanksgiving. Grieving and overwhelmed, I questioned how I could handle both heartache and healing. But on the morning of her passing, God reassured me through two unexpected calls—Rover Oaks-Katy had a boarding spot for my dog, and my surgeon shared that I would need radiation only. Through the treatments at Houston Methodist West, I saw a sign for Faithful Paws Pet Therapy and felt God revealing a new purpose.
